About Mexico

Mexico is a country of enormous variety, offering tropical jungle with Maya pyramids, sandy Pacific beaches and modern city life. Mexico’s history from the Aztecs over conquering Spaniards to the modern Mexicanos, can be felt in its Architecture, Art, Music and Cuisine. However, it is much more than that. Being one of the most popular tourist regions worldwide it has much on offer to its visitors.

There are four regions available in Mexico. Please find a short introduction of each of these destinations below:

  • Guanajuato: A university city, small and peaceful, far from the coastal centres of mass tourism, Guanajuato seems made to welcome students of Spanish. Candidates will find themselves enchanted by the lovely architecture and by the culture that breathes in every nook and cranny of this alluring Colonial beauty.
  • Oaxaca: With peaks of almost 10,000 feet high, caverns among the deepest in the world, unspoiled beaches, jungles and valleys Oaxaca is an ideal place to experience the beauty of Mexico and its people. The city of Oaxaca is located in the central valley of the state with the Pacific Ocean at the southwest. It has a population of around 3,600,700 people.
  • Playa del Carmen: Playa del Carmen is a great place to enjoy the cultural and historic richness of Mexico and the Mayan people. It attracts people from all over the world because of its relaxed, tropical atmosphere and its unmatched beautiful beaches.
  • Puerto Vallarta: The city is located on the Pacific coast of Mexico, in the Mexican state of Jalisco. Puerto Vallarta is the perfect blend of tropical waters and rich Mexican culture; a place to learn, relax, have fun and take in the natural wonders. This Port town enjoys over 300 sunny days a year and averages yearly temperatures of roughly 28º C.
