Paid Hospitality Internship
This internship program offers paid positions (award wage) between 6-12 months within the hospitality field. This is a great opportunity for Australian students and entry level professionals looking to extend their knowledge and experience to that of the Chinese hospitality industry, whilst also funding their stay in China.
Roles include: Food & Beverage preparations/ serving/ presentation, Hospitality management, Housekeeping and Kitchen hand skills; a multitude of experiences to gain comprehensive understanding of the hospitality industry. Many positions will involve cross-training in two or more roles/ areas in hospitality and this is an exciting opportunity for applicants wanting to gain international experience and/ or use the internship as a stepping stone into the hospitality world.
Program Includes
Part I: Training & Orientation (1 week)
- Leadership/ Team Building Training
- Mandarin lessons based on introductory Mandarin
- Orientation to China
- Cultural lessons during the program
- Airport pick-up
- Welcome dinner
- Welcome kit
- Accommodation in the training school
- Meals through the school canteen
- Access to school facilities for evening recreation and sporting activities
- Social and cultural activities
- Farewell dinner
Part II: Hospitality Internship
- Accommodation and meals provided; Accommodation to be shared accommodation on suitable arrangement made by the Hotel; Meals provided by hotel canteen or other arrangements made by hotel
- Accommodation during break (not meals)
- Allowance of RMB 2000 (if after finishing your first 6 months you extend for a further 6 months you will receive an allowance of at least RMB 4000 for this second term)
- Completion bonus (RMB for completion of 6 months practical)

Candidate Requirements
- 18 – 30 years old
- Completed and signed application form
- CV, Cover Letter and Academic Transcript
- Applicants currently studying or qualified in the Hospitality field
- Applicants will also need to have an upper intermediate level of conversational Mandarin
- Practical experience is advantageous

Extension fee for further 6 months: RMB4,000
