About Namibia

Namibia is a country which offers an exceptional range and abundance of wildlife and a striking landscape which provides the ideal backdrop. Namibia has four main geographic regions, all of which will be of great interest to the adventure traveller. In the north lies the Ethos Pan, a former lake, which is now an enormous alluvial basin and home to great herds of antelope species, zebra and most famously elephants. Along the Namibian cost in the west lies the famous Namib Desert – divided into the Skeleton Coast in the north and the Diamond Coast in the south. The northeast offers a slender corridor of spectacular scenery with fertile soil, wooded areas and great rivers. Namibia’s centre is occupied by a plateau in the middle of which, Windhoek the capital is located. Daytime heat, rather than rain, is the primary concern for most travellers to Namibia. While temperatures are generally comfortable year round, the warmest season is the period extending from November to March.
