About Uruguay

Uruguay is the third smallest country in South America bordering Brazil in the North East and Argentina in the North West. The South of Uruguay features a 500 km coast line with beaches considered among the best in South America. The landscape is dominated by a network of rivers, plains and low hill ranges with a fertile coastal lowland. The climate in Uruguay is temperate with warm summers and cold winters. Montevideo is the youngest and southernmost capital city of South America. The Spanish founded it in the early 18th century as a military stronghold; its natural harbour soon developed into an active commercial centre. This program offers a wide range of Spanish courses with different levels of difficulty and intensity at a language school in Montevideo. Students may choose among different courses from 1 to 12 weeks depending on the program selected. Additionally, there is a wide range of activities on offer, such as excursions and water sports. This is a fantastic program to improve your Spanish skills in the class room and outside.
