About Vietnam

Vietnam is not yet widely known as a holiday destination. Nevertheless, the country does improve its infrastructure continuously which is due to the effort and diligence of its citizens. It has one of the finest cuisines in the world. The capital Hanoi is located in the north of the country. Next to conservative communist buildings, you will also find old temples, parks and a buzz of activity, which gives the city its own pleasant charm. Highlights are next to the mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh the literature temple as an example of well-preserved Vietnamese architecture. Vietnam has a lot to offer. In the north travellers can go on organised trekking tours into the highlands and on boat tours and excursions at the beautiful Halong Bay. In the middle of the country you will find various world heritage sites, like Hoi An, Hue and My Song. The coast in the south of Vietnam is very good for water sports, like surfing, snorkelling and diving. Paid Education Internships

 

This program is ideal for innovative and creative students with a background in education who want to apply their abilities in the child care sector. In conjunction with our Vietnamese partner we offer two programs focusing on education with local Vietnamese children. The programs are as follows: Internal program: offering hands on experience with children aged 2-5. This program runs from 7:30am – 5pm. External program: offering external classes for children after 5:00pm. The program focuses on English, dance and arts.

The programs run with 60 internal children and about 120 external children. The centre is located in the most modern area of Hanoi, newly developed it is located about 20-30 minutes by bus from the city centre. The area is safe, has good infrastructure, close to schools, supermarkets and hospitals.

 

Applicants will teach English, Arts, Music and Social Science to children from the age of 2. (20 teaching hours per week + respective preparation time)

 

Length: 6, 9 or 12 months starting from June or September.

Lead Time: 3 months

 

Salary

• USD 800 per month including accommodation allowance
• USD 600 per month with accommodation provided.

 

Accommodation

Candidates can choose to have their accommodation arranged or can seek guidance in making their own arrangements.

 

The two bedroom apartment costs about USD 300-500 in these areas. This is self catering type of accommodation, furnished with air conditioning, TV, fridge, kitchen, furniture. Students can share so the cost for accommodation of each student could be from USD 150 to USD 250 per month, that’s USD 40 to USD 60 per week.

Application Requirements

• 18 years old and over
• Qualifications/background: Last year students (TAFE, college, university) specialized in Early Childhood Education
• Good intercultural communication skills, ability to work independently, creativity and basic skills in music (for singing and dancing with children) and arts.
• Signed and completed application form
• Current Resume and Cover Letter
• A recommendation letter
• Police clearance Certificate
• Evidence of Medical Insurance

 

Visa

Students can come on a tourist visa, visa extension fee is approximately USD 150. The organization pays for visa extension if students stay for more than 6 months.
